It´s starting to be a while since I’ve posted photos on the blog. Thought I’d take a look at some of the pictures I took last year. I came across these photos I took when Øyvind and I took a trip to Svartfjell (black mountain) on Venabygdsfjellet in Oppland county.
This was in June, so the sunrise was early in the morning, or very late at night. Depending on how you look at it.
After an hour’s walk from the car, we reached the top of Black Mountain and the clock showed 2:32. Well before the sunrise.
The light starts to paint the landscape. Øyvind captures a few frames:

Something that recurs frequently when I try to catch the sunrise is that the clouds always seems to cover the sky just after the sun shows up. This time is not an exception.
The time just passed 4. The clouds have covered the sky. Now there´s only one thing to do, and that is to go home and say good night.
Well, Tor, here i am, another non-Norwegian visitor to your blog. I especially enjoyed seeing the mountain scenes in Oppland, the home of half of my Norwegian forebears.
glad to hear that :)
